Where can I submit my ideas?
All ideas should be submitted through the ideas@work website. Fill in all the required fields and attach any necessary supplementary information.
Can I submit more than one idea?
Of course! There are no limits to creativity and innovation. We encourage multiple submissions. The more the merrier!
Can I submit ideas using my mobile phone?
Yes! The submission form works on PCs and mobile phones – so you can submit ideas on the go.
The idea was a group effort, who should submit the idea?
Nominate a team leader to submit the idea. You can fill in the names of the other team members in the submission form.
When can I submit ideas?
You can submit ideas all-year round. To qualify for the 2021 awards, your idea must have been accepted by a department and implementation must have begun before 31 July. So get your ideas in early!
Can I submit my idea for a department I’m not a part of?
Of course! You can submit ideas for any department, including those in other regions.
I’ve never created a budget before and I’m not sure how much I should put down. What should I do?
No worries, just guess! The number will be used for reference only by the panel; and as with any project, costs will fluctuate when things kick off for real.
May I submit projects that have already started?
Definitely! We welcome ideas that are already in progress and are a part of your work. Our goal is to encourage innovation anytime, anywhere; and not just during ideas@work.
Do I have to implement my idea?
Nope, the respective department will put in the resources to make your idea a reality. However, you can be involved if you want to. Just remember to state this clearly in your submission. Tip: You’ll have a much higher chance of winning the big prize if your project is progressing well. So submit early, and push for results!
What language should I use for my submission?
You can submit your idea in English, as well as Traditional or Simplified Chinese.
How will I know if my idea has been accepted?
You’ll be notified by either email or SMS. You’ll also be able to track your idea’s progress on the ideas@work website.

Yes! You’ll also be able to track your idea’s progress on the ideas@work website. Use the link sent to you when you submitted an idea.
Do I win something if my idea is accepted?
If your idea is initially selected, it’ll be up for a department-level prize. If you’re gunning for the big prize – all projects submitted by 31 July will be eligible for review by the final ideas@work judging panel. Projects will be judged based on impact, creativity and progress.
How will my idea be implemented?
Once your idea has been accepted by a department, they’ll put together a project team. Each department will implement an idea in their own way; however, you can be involved if you want to. Just remember to state this clearly in your submission.
